Thomas Woodfin
Principal Engineer · Denver AI ConsultantThomas Woodfin is a Principal Engineer with 20+ years of experience building production systems across mobile, backend, cloud, and AI. He currently leads engineering for a HIPAA-compliant healthcare platform -- architecting patient care coordination and emergency communication capabilities (fall detection, emergency calling, video communication, IoT caregiver coordination) across iOS/SwiftUI, Apple Watch, Flutter, React, and a Node.js/Express/PostgreSQL backend on AWS. He owns the platform's security posture (15-finding audit, Cloudflare WAF, AWS GuardDuty/Security Hub, SOC 2 roadmap) and drives engineering quality with 3,400+ tests across five languages, 90%+ coverage gates, and 100-ticket sprint management. He also designed Nora, a conversational AI caregiver companion powered by AWS Bedrock and Apple native speech. Thomas holds a degree from UC Berkeley and is a US Navy veteran.
As a Denver AI consultant, Thomas helps Colorado businesses ship practical AI: he built his own AI coding software (Vibe Coding IDE) and ships AIBuddy-style API and product integrations. Typical engagements include AI automation for marketing (content workflows, campaign assist, SEO tooling), messaging automation (SMS, email, chatbots, lead routing), support copilots, document and knowledge search, custom LLM features inside mobile and web apps, and governance (evaluation, privacy, cost controls). Strategy through implementation—remote or on-site across the Front Range.

Yes. I work as a Denver and Colorado AI consultant—helping teams adopt practical AI: marketing automation (content workflows, campaign assist, SEO tooling), messaging automation (SMS, email, in-app and support chatbots, lead routing), document and knowledge workflows, custom LLM features in apps and sites, and governance (prompting, evaluation, privacy, cost). I built my own AI coding software (Vibe Coding IDE) and ship AIBuddy-style integrations, so I deliver working software—not slideware. Contact to scope a project.
